想到这，今天就像跟大家分享一个表达：Go the extra mile
Extra adj 额外的，附加的；
Mile n.英里，Americans use “miles”as a measure of distance。这个表达的本意是指运动员跑了额外的距离，做了更多的训练。那现在呢，to“go the extra mile”means to make a special effort at something,it can also mean to work very hard to reach a goal.是指做比期望的多得多的努力；做更多，加倍努力，取得更大的成就。
For example:
①He would go the extra mile to try to elucidate his intentions.
他会不惜一切尝试阐明他的意向。
②Parents will always go the extra mile for their children.
父母总是愿意为他们的子女做任何事情。
③Because of her willingness to go theextra mile,her career was such a success.
正因为愿意比别人付出更多的努力，她的事业才取得这样的成就。
