1. 单词和词组

在上面的宾语从句中，“not all people graduating into a recession see…”出现了两个动词“graduating”和“see”，这时候我们要想到是“动词-ing”形式做后置定语，修饰“people”。
在“to where they otherwise would have been…”中，“介词+引导词”，是介宾-宾语从句，可以拆分。
接着，“if they had graduated…”，“if”引导条件状语从句，表示虚拟语气，假设过去。
在“;”后，是“it is… that v. …”，构成强调句，强调“the masses”。
