In colleges and at universities, it is very common for students to skip classes for one reason or another or no reason at all.
There are two main reasons for this phenomenon. First, students enjoy more freedom in college than in middle school. So, it is easy for those who lack selfdiscipline to skip classes. Second, some teachers could not make their lectures interesting enough so that some students would rather skip classes to study what they are interested in.
For whatever reasons, skipping classes does bring negative effects on students’ study. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures to handle the issue. On the one hand, students should fully realize the harm of skipping classes and cultivate selfdiscipline. On the other hand, teachers should improve their teaching quality to attract students. Only in this way can the problem be solved.
